Skype’s installer falls into the class of installers that dynamically pull components from the Internet during installation.
The benefits of such an approach are obvious: smaller installers that download only the latest version of the components actually needed.The approach is often annoying if, for example, you’re trying to deploy Skype on multiple computers or you’re using an outbound firewall.
